MedSafeScan Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, or using the MedSafeScan mobile application or visiting https://medsafescan.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the service.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

You must be at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use MedSafeScan. If you are under 18, you may only use the service with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. By using MedSafeScan, you represent that you meet these eligibility requirements.

To use MedSafeScan, you must create an account using your email address and password, or via Google Sign-In. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Keep your account credentials secure and confidential
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized account access
• Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account

MedSafeScan is an informational mobile application that allows users to build a personal medication profile, scan medication labels using AI, and check for potential drug–drug and drug–supplement interactions. Results are provided for informational and educational purposes only.

MedSafeScan does not have access to your medical records, prescribing history, laboratory results, or other clinical data. Interaction results are based on the medication names you provide and publicly available drug interaction data analyzed by AI. Results may be incomplete, inaccurate, or not applicable to your specific situation.

MedSafeScan has not launched publicly yet. The following tiers are planned for release:

• Free tier: manual medication entry, medication profile tools, and a limited number of interaction checks
• Premium tools: planned expanded access such as unlimited checks, AI label scanning, PDF export, and priority support

Premium subscriptions are not active yet. Final pricing, billing terms, renewal rules, and cancellation instructions will be published before paid features become available.

When subscriptions are available, billing will be handled by the platform payment provider, and refund terms will follow the policies shown at purchase time.

Free plan users are limited to 3 AI-powered interaction checks per calendar month. Check count resets at the beginning of each month. Manual medication entry, profile management, and interaction history viewing are available without limit on the free plan.

You agree not to:

• Use MedSafeScan for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the app
• Scrape, crawl, or systematically collect data from the service
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service or its infrastructure
• Use the service to harm, threaten, or harass others
• Provide false information that could mislead other users or our systems
• Circumvent free-tier limits through technical manipulation

MedSafeScan uses AI to analyze medication interactions. You acknowledge and agree that:

• AI-generated interaction results may be incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated
• The AI may not account for your specific health conditions, genetics, age, weight, or other clinical factors
• Not all known drug interactions are captured in AI training data
• A result showing no interaction does not guarantee the combination is safe for you specifically
• You must verify all interaction results with a licensed pharmacist or physician before acting on them

All content in MedSafeScan — including the app name, logo, design, text, graphics, and underlying AI models — is owned by or licensed to MedSafeScan and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without explicit written permission.

You retain ownership of the medication data and content you enter into MedSafeScan. By using the service, you grant MedSafeScan a limited, non-exclusive license to process, store, and analyze your medication data solely for the purpose of providing the service to you. We do not claim ownership of your health data and do not use it for advertising.

We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or misuse the service. You may delete your account at any time through the app's Settings menu or by following the instructions on our Account Deletion page.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY SPECIFIC INTERACTION RESULTS ARE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, MEDSAFESCAN AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless MedSafeScan and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

These Terms are governed by the laws of [GOVERNING_JURISDICTION] without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts located in [GOVERNING_JURISDICTION].

We may update these Terms periodically. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by email. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
